We are hiring a Material Handler for our San Antonio, Texas facility. This is a crucial role within our logistics operations, responsible for the movement, storage, and handling of materials throughout the warehouse. You will ensure that inventory is organized, accessible, and safely transported to various work areas or shipping docks. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a high standard of Safety. Experience with various types of material handling equipment is essential. This position involves regular physical exertion, including significant Lifting, and requires adherence to strict operational and Safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Stage materials for production or outbound shipment.
- Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures meticulously.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and material flow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operation certification and experience.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) regularly.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent understanding of Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
