Join our busy logistics hub in Kansas City, Missouri, as a Material Handler. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient movement and organization of goods. You will be responsible for loading and unloading delivery trucks, relocating inventory within the facility, and preparing materials for shipment or production. Proficiency with material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen sense of responsibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet productivity targets and maintain a safe working environment. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to work in a dynamic setting, and a commitment to following strict safety guidelines. Prior experience in a similar warehouse or logistics role is preferred. We value individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to ensuring the smooth functioning of our supply chain. Proper use of PPE is required at all times. This role involves frequent lifting and manual labor. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from transport vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Verify product counts and check for damages during receiving and shipping processes.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Organize warehouse space to optimize efficiency and accessibility.
- Prepare materials for dispatch, ensuring proper labeling and staging.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Be prepared for lifting requirements, up to 55 lbs.
- Contribute to a clean and orderly work environment through good housekeeping practices.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
