We are seeking a Design Engineer with approximately 2+ years of industry experience to join the R&D team. Reporting into senior engineering leadership, you will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to design, develop, and refine high‑volume medical diagnostic devices in line with global regulatory and customer requirements. This role offers excellent exposure across the full product lifecycle, including close interaction with in‑house manufacturing and assembly teams, enabling designs to move efficiently from concept to production. Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine 3D and 2D designs using SolidWorks CAD Support the design and optimisation of injection‑moulded components, considering tooling and manufacturability Perform tolerance analysis and produce robust engineering documentation Assist with prototype build, device assembly, and functional testing Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support design transfer to production Work within an ISO 13485 quality management system, ensuring design compliance Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives Support delivery of new device concepts and product enhancements to market Skills & Experience
Degree‑qualified in Product Design Engineering or a related discipline Around 2 years’ experience in a medical device or similarly regulated engineering environment Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or comparable CAD software Understanding of injection moulding, tooling, and manufacturing processes Experience producing engineering drawings and conducting tolerance analysis Hands‑on experience with prototyping, assembly, and testing Strong problem‑solving ability with high attention to detail Experience working within cross‑functional development teams Familiarity with risk management (ISO 14971) and regulated design processes Understanding of ISO 13485 and medical device design controls Exposure to working with global suppliers or customers Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
