What you’ll be doing as an Environmental Data Analyst
Working shifts in the Wastewater Control Room, monitoring system alerts and smart tool data
Carrying out desktop impact and risk assessments to identify potential pollution
Investigating treatment works, pumping stations and network performance to understand issues
Coordinating urgent field responses and managing multiple pollution cases at once
Providing clear updates to the Environment Agency, Natural England and other stakeholders
Keeping accurate records of information received, decisions made, and actions taken
Producing data-driven reports and supporting improvements to tools and working practices
Base location Kemble Court, Reading
Working hours
Early shift: 06:00 to 14:45
Late shift: 13:15 to 22:00
What you should bring to the role
A proactive, organised approach and confidence in managing a high volume of work in a busy environment
The ability to interpret data, trends and patterns and produce clear written reports.
Strong communication skills and experience working with multiple colleagues and stakeholders.
Good IT skills, including Excel, Word and confidence using operational systems
An interest in environmental protection and a willingness to learn new systems and technology.
Awareness of process plant operations, such as sewage treatment works or pumping stations, would be beneficial.
Experience using SCADA systems or smart tools, or an interest in developing this skill.

Competitive salary from £34,820 up to £46,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
