Tile Setter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing tile surfaces in residential and commercial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of flooring and wall tile installation, shower system installation, tile laying techniques, and building specifications. The Tile Setter will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and timely project completion.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for tile installation
• Prepare and execute professional layouts for tile installation
• Measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools to fit designated spaces
• Lay tiles according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and spacing
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute precise installations
• Apply silicone, caulking, grout, and grout sealant
• Assist with carpentry tasks as needed, including minor framing and repairs
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and removing debris throughout the project
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Experience

• Minimum two years of experience in tile laying and other related construction roles
• Familiarity with hand tools such as saws, trowels, levels, and measuring devices
• Experience with waterproofing, complex layouts, and building custom showers
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Experience with silicone, caulking, and grout finishing techniques
• Prior construction experience demonstrating attention to detail and safety compliance is highly valued

Pay: $28.00-$45.00 per hour
