WHO WE ARE

Integrated Operations Group Inc. (IOG) is a growing full-phase forest development firm with operations across BC tailoring primarily to the forestry, construction and utility industries. We tackle challenging forestry projects including heli, single stem, danger tree mitigation, commercial thinning and fire hazard abatement. We utilize innovative processes to complete our work with a focus on value rather than volume. Our team consists of professional foresters, equipment operators, fallers, tree climbers, forest engineers and other resource professionals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

IOG is seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to fulfill the role of PROJECT MANAGER for our Campbell River/Coastal operations. Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager is a critical role that oversees the productive and safe completion of projects, but is also adept at recognizing opportunities for business development. It is expected that this position will be focused on, but not limited to, the helicopter logging aspect of our business. As such, the ideal candidate will have previous experience working in and around heavy lift helicopters, fallers and coastal logging operations. This position is a combination of office and field elements, requiring some camp accommodations in various locations across BC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the execution of projects including budgeting, planning, logistics, crew management, resourcing and scheduling
  • Ensure projects have effective work and safety plans
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize the efficiency and production of crew/equipment
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including First Nations partners, licensees, clients and government
  • Work with administration team to oversee the timely processing and approval of invoices
  • Communicate with clients regarding pre-work meetings, safety reports, and day to day operational decisions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5yrs experience supervising harvesting operations and/or managing forestry projects
  • Value oriented
  • Good awareness of log grades
  • Must be an effective communicator with strong attention to detail and computer proficiency
  • Experience with helicopters, helicopter yarding and manual cutting operations a major asset
  • Professional forestry designation (RPF or RFT) or eligibility is an asset
  • Have a Class 5 driver's licence
  • Must be willing to work from our Campbell River office location

COMPENSATION

This is a salary position commensurate with experience ranging between $90,000 and $120,000+ annually. The position will also offer participation in our performance bonus program, company truck, comprehensive benefits package, matching RRSP contribution and other compensation. We anticipate laddering opportunities based on performance.
