Downtown Toronto, ON - 4 days per week in-office

Compensation - $150,000-$160,000 (annualized), standard benefits and vacation

We are seeking a hands-on, technically strong accounting professional for a critical engagement. The primary mandate is to own the integrity of their financial reporting, controls, and investor/lender reporting. This is a hands-on Director / Controller-level role reporting directly to the CFO, with real exposure across development entities, funds, valuations, financings, and tax.

This position will offer high-level exposure to capital markets, debt management, financial accounting and planning, and operational restructuring. But, the team is very small, so you should expect to be very hands-on.

Responsibilities:

• Full oversight of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Consolidated financial reporting under ASPE & IFRS
• Investor, lender, and bank reporting (including equity rolls & variances)
• Cash flow forecasting, capital calls, loan drawdowns & distributions
• Supporting financings and working closely with external auditors
• Tax compliance (T2s, T5013s, HST, SLFI, CRA inquiries)
• Leading analysts, strengthening controls, and improving finance processes

Requirements:

• CPA designation required
• 5–7+ years of experience in real estate development or funds
• Strong technical accounting and reporting background
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
