Insitu Contractors Inc. specializes in groundwater control and investigational drilling works. We use a variety of drilling technologies including Sonic and Dual Rotary drills. We are looking to add to our drilling team. We are looking for hardworking, positive, and accountable people who are team players.

Job Status:

Full Time – Monday to Friday, Occasional Weekends.

Job Location

23 Small Cres in Hawkstone, Ontario with extensive field work throughout Ontario (Generally London to Oshawa to Sudbury)

Rate of Pay

Our starting wage rate ranges between $25 to $30 and is based on experience. Additional qualifications such as a well technicians' license or DZ/AZ license may lead to a higher starting wage. Overtime starts at 44 hours of work. Paid travel to and from shop/office to site.

Responsibilities

Insitu team members must be flexible in their responsibilities as site requirements and conditions can vary. Generally, an Assistant Well Drillers responsibilities are as follows.

• Take direction and instruction from the well driller and complete assigned tasks in an efficient and safe manner.
• Complete Insitu and site specific daily and weekly safety documents.
• Perform and document pre-task inspections of equipment.
• Operate support equipment such as skid steers.
• Demonstrate a desire to learn.
• Loading and unloading and securing drilling equipment and supplies.
• Ensure safety is a top priority and adhere to and follow all the rules and regulations.
• Ability to work out of town.
• Keen observation skills with a desire to learn and enjoy working outdoors.
• Must be a team player who is reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing deadlines and site conditions.

Training

• If you are interested in learning, we are willing to teach. There are opportunities to be trained on multiple drilling technologies including Sonic, Dual Rotary and Conventional Auger drilling techniques as well as other methods that Insitu uses install groundwater control systems and collect samples.
• Training in support equipment will be provided including skid steer operation, folk lift, etc.

Qualifications

• Previous well drilling experience is required.
• Must have a valid G or G2 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract. A DZ or AZ license is an asset.
• Well Technicians License an asset.
• Physically fit and able to lift 60lbs.
• Enjoy working out doors in various weather conditions.
• Located locally or able to relocate prior to the starting.
