True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team.
The
Accounts Payable Clerk
will be responsible for capturing and recording the day-to-day financial functions and activities to all True North entities and their related functions.

- Process invoices ensuring expenses are properly allocated.
- Prepare disbursements on a time appropriate basis.
- Record all invoices into accounting software.
- Perform monthly and other periodic reconciliations/supporting schedules and journal entries, commensurate with monthly financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with government legislation with regards to taxation including but not limited to Goods and Services Tax, Harmonized Sales Tax and Provincial Sales Tax.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Perform other duties as required to support the finance function.
What we need from you:
- Innovative problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to accuracy, detail, and prudent financial management.
- Proven ability to prioritize competing demands in a diverse and evolving environment.
- Combination of relevant experience and/or education with emphasis on accounting.
- Superior skills in the use of pc-based tools, accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Responsible team member, with capacity to meet objectives and required timelines. Varying work volumes throughout the year will require the position to be a self-starter with managing routine and non-routine tasks.
- Interest & willingness to become part of a Finance & Admin Team seeking to provide superior service to the other functional areas of True North.
