We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels. This role is crucial to the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that our supply chain runs smoothly and that products are readily available. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to achieve departmental goals. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations is essential. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper stock rotation and movement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE .
- Assist with physical inventory counts and audits.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with Logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to company policies.
