Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering young children's development and learning through engaging activities and nurturing support. This role involves creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood education principles. Bilingual skills, especially in English and French, along with experience working with children with disabilities, are highly valued. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's progress
- Incorporate bilingual instruction in English and French to promote language development
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Manage classroom organization efficiently to ensure safety and smooth daily operations
- Lead classroom activities that promote creativity, curiosity, and learning engagement
- Collaborate with team members to plan events, assessments, and curriculum enhancements
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff
- Organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation effectively
- Leadership qualities to guide young learners confidently
- Good computer operation skills for record keeping and lesson planning purposes
- Ability to demonstrate time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Prior classroom experience is essential; certification or degree in early childhood education is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
