We are hiring a Shipping Clerk in San Antonio, Texas, to manage the seamless flow of our outbound shipments. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring that all products are shipped correctly, on time, and in excellent condition. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing all necessary shipping documentation, coordinating with freight carriers, verifying the accuracy of outgoing orders, and ensuring proper labeling and dispatch. Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail are essential for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. Our commitment to safety means that all employees must utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow established warehouse safety procedures. The ideal candidate will be computer-savvy, comfortable with administrative tasks, and possess strong communication abilities. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is a significant advantage. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Generate and process shipping labels and documentation (e.g., BOLs, packing lists).
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Conduct final checks of orders to ensure accuracy and completeness before dispatch.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments.
- Communicate with internal teams and external parties regarding shipment statuses.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations.
- Uphold safety standards, including the correct use of PPE.
- Organize and maintain the shipping dock area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role.
- Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their requirements.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with shipping software.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
