Job Description
Long Term Care is a unique experience, when you come to work you are coming into a Resident's home. Your feedback and input is used to improve our daily practices, and your energy goes a long way to putting smiles on our Residents' faces.

We provide a fulsome orientation to set you up for success, and ongoing opportunities to grow your skills and take on specialized roles. Every day is different — and every day you make a difference. If you were working for us as an PSW, here are some of the things you would have done last week:

• Assisted residents with daily living activities, including safe lifts and transfers, bathing, and feeding, promoting independence, comfort, and dignity.
• Worked side-by-side with RPNs and your care team to deliver safe, compassionate care.
• Completed POC tasks, ensuring resident information is accurate and up to date.
• Actively participated in shift reports, care conferences, and team huddles, contributing to planning and improving resident care.
• Supported residents with mobility, personal care, and nutrition while noticing changes that matter.
• Created meaningful moments by connecting with residents, celebrating milestones, and making them feel valued.
• Participated in specialized programs or roles such as Behavioural Supports, Rehab or Quality Improvement, contributing to advanced care initiatives.
• Mentored new team members through structured programs, sharing experience and strengthening the care culture.

Qualifications
To be hired into this role, you must have:

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Health Care Aide (HCA) Certification
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
• TB 2 Step updated within the last year
