Responsibilities

• Operate loaders and other heavy machinery to remove snow from various outdoor surfaces efficiently and safely
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
• Clear snow in a systematic manner to prevent hazards and facilitate smooth pedestrian and vehicle movement
• Use hand tools and power tools as needed for snow removal tasks or minor maintenance on equipment
• Assist with ice management by spreading salt or sand to improve traction in icy conditions
• Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery, including lubrication, fueling, and minor repairs
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize snow removal areas based on safety needs and operational schedules

Requirements

• Proven experience operating loaders, excavators, or similar construction equipment in outdoor settings
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues with heavy machinery and perform routine maintenance
• Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods
• Familiarity with landscaping, lawn care, or landscape maintenance is a plus
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and snow plowing techniques for efficient operations
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction and snow removal activities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
