We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. Your tasks will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly and safely. This role is essential for the smooth flow of operations and requires an individual who is safety-conscious, physically capable, and detail-oriented. You will contribute directly to the efficiency of our logistics operations by ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage locations.
- Move materials to and from production areas, shipping, and receiving.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas.
- Perform regular equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
- Must be able to handle frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Support logistics and operational goals through efficient material movement.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role. Valid forklift operator certification is a plus. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Good communication skills. Must be reliable and able to work flexible hours if needed. Familiarity with logistics principles is beneficial.
