We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. The Shipping Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely shipment of goods to our customers. This position involves verifying order details, preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining organized shipping areas. You will be responsible for inspecting outgoing shipments to ensure they meet quality and packing standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and label outgoing shipments.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documents.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Conduct inventory checks for shipping supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Must be comfortable with manual tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with shipping software is a plus.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is preferred. Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be reliable and punctual. Understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
