We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Jacksonville, Florida distribution center. This vital role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, playing a key part in efficient warehouse **logistics**. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain optimal stock accuracy. A strong focus on **safety** is required, including the correct use of **PPE** and adherence to all **safety** protocols. This position may involve some **lifting** and requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure efficient **logistics**.
- Adhere to all **safety** regulations and **PPE** requirements.
- Identify and recommend improvements to inventory processes.
- Train staff on inventory control best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and **logistics**.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to **safety** and understanding of **PPE**.
- Ability to **lift** up to 40 pounds.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
