We are hiring a Material Handler for our St. Louis, Missouri facility! This position is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse and is a critical link in our logistics chain. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, as well as performing manual tasks such as loading, unloading, and stocking inventory. A keen understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to accuracy are essential. You will work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure the smooth flow of goods and maintain inventory integrity. We place the highest priority on workplace safety ; therefore, all employees must strictly follow all established safety protocols and wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) at all times. This role requires physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of items up to 60 pounds and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Assist in receiving and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and staging.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required PPE , including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
- Support inventory control initiatives through accurate material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety principles and the importance of PPE .
- Physical capability to perform tasks including Lifting up to 60 lbs.
