Our busy distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate. This vital role ensures the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing goods, making it a cornerstone of our logistics operations. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for managing the flow of inventory, from unloading deliveries and verifying shipments to preparing orders for dispatch and coordinating with carriers. You must maintain accurate records and ensure that all items are handled with care. A strong emphasis on safety is paramount, and all employees are required to follow company safety standards and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management and record-keeping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
