We are looking for an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Columbus, Ohio. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving and storing inventory within our high-reach racking systems. This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing warehouse space. We prioritize Safety above all else and provide comprehensive training and equipment to ensure a secure working environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Safely navigate aisles and high-reach racking systems.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in all required Safety training.
- Follow specific instructions for handling and storing different types of inventory.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating a reach truck is required. Valid certification for operating a reach truck. Ability to safely maneuver in tight spaces and at heights. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and procedures. Experience with inventory management systems is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be able to stand and operate machinery for extended periods. Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety is essential. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This role is crucial for our logistics operations.
