We are hiring a Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and management of materials within the facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, preparing materials for production or shipment, and ensuring a safe and orderly work environment. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the supply chain. The ideal candidate is physically capable, possesses a strong sense of responsibility, and is committed to upholding strict safety standards. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks (certification may be required or provided).
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure all materials are handled properly to prevent damage or loss.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Must be capable of heavy Lifting, up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and logistics.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
