Seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our San Antonio, Texas facility. This role is critical for managing the outbound flow of goods, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately, documented correctly, and dispatched on time. You will be the liaison between our warehouse operations and transportation carriers, playing a key part in our overall logistics chain. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping labels, scheduling pickups, verifying shipment contents, and maintaining accurate shipping records.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and print shipping labels and other required documentation for all outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping records.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed, ensuring safe Lifting practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and general computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Familiarity with logistics and shipping procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Understanding of workplace safety and the importance of PPE.
