We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their correct orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, utilizing hand-held scanners to track inventory, and preparing orders for shipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy. You will be working within a large warehouse facility, navigating aisles, and retrieving products of various sizes and weights. Emphasis will be placed on efficient workflow and contributing to the overall productivity of the distribution center. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet daily targets. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and inventory management, is paramount. We provide all necessary training and expect all employees to wear the required PPE at all times. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
- Package items securely for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Meet or exceed daily picking quotas.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Must be able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus. Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends. Basic understanding of inventory control principles. Familiarity with RF scanners is beneficial. Must be reliable and punctual. Experience with various types of warehouse equipment is a plus. Understanding of logistics operations is preferred. Attention to detail is critical for accuracy. Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE is mandatory.
