Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and package all outgoing shipments according to established guidelines.
- Verify shipment details, including customer addresses, order numbers, and product counts.
- Utilize shipping software to generate labels and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with various freight carriers for timely pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Maintain meticulous records of all shipping activities and inventory movements.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure that packages are correctly labeled and contents are accurate.
- Ensure full compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and free of hazards, adhering to safety standards.
- Ensure the correct and consistent use of all required PPE.
- Support broader logistics and warehouse operations as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse role is highly valued.
- Proficiency in computer operations and experience with shipping software.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Unwavering attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Solid understanding of shipping processes and carrier requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and correct use of PPE.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
