Our growing warehouse facility in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be essential in managing the flow of goods throughout our operations. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tasks. This role demands physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to upholding our high standards of Safety . We provide all necessary PPE and thorough training to ensure a safe working environment. The position involves frequent movement, bending, and significant Lifting of materials. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials accurately.
- Pick and pack orders according to specific customer requirements and shipping schedules.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse storage areas and workstations.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and Safety guidelines without exception.
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of all materials.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, inventory discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE , including safety vests, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Support the overall efficiency of warehouse operations and contribute to team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding setting.
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong understanding of and adherence to workplace Safety protocols.
- Willingness to wear and properly use all designated PPE .
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles is a plus.
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
