We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, stocking, and retrieving inventory using specialized equipment. Your primary focus will be on operating the reach truck safely and effectively to maximize storage space and maintain an organized inventory flow. This role is critical to our Logistics operations, ensuring that materials are handled properly and that our warehouse runs smoothly. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of workplace Safety , providing ongoing training and ensuring all team members use the correct PPE . This position requires precision, a strong understanding of warehouse layouts, and the ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting and maneuvering of goods. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to transport, stock, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Navigate narrow aisles and high racking systems with precision.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Verify the identity and quantity of goods being moved against order documentation.
- Perform pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE , including safety vests, gloves, and potentially specialized gear.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid certification or ability to obtain certification for reach truck operation.
- Strong understanding of warehouse layouts and inventory management principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks associated with warehouse operations, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to upholding workplace Safety standards.
- Willingness to wear and use designated PPE .
- Familiarity with Logistics operations and WMS.
