We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our **Logistics** process. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our system. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to **Safety**. This role involves physical activity, including **Lifting** of items weighing up to 60 lbs, and requires the ability to stand, walk, and operate pallet jacks. Working collaboratively with other warehouse staff is essential. Strict adherence to **Safety** procedures and the correct use of **PPE**, such as safety shoes and gloves, is required at all times. Your accuracy in receiving directly impacts inventory levels and operational planning.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks efficiently and safely.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming products for damage or defects.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all **Safety** protocols and **PPE** requirements.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Support inventory accuracy initiatives.
