Our Tampa, Florida facility is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This critical role ensures that our stock levels are precise, which is fundamental to efficient logistics and preventing order fulfillment errors. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of inventory systems, and a commitment to Safety and operational excellence. This position offers a great opportunity to take ownership of inventory accuracy within our growing operation.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels across all warehouse locations.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and maintain accurate inventory record-keeping using WMS software.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement in stock management.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure timely replenishment and accurate receiving of goods.
- Support logistics team with accurate stock information for efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting as required for stock checks.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures within a warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
