We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and management at our Sacramento, California facility. This critical role ensures that our stock levels are precise, our warehouse is organized, and our Logistics operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and reconciling inventory data. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a meticulous approach to detail are essential for success in this position. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by researching transaction history.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process, ensuring accurate recording of incoming goods.
- Oversee the returns process, inspecting and processing returned merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to Safety protocols.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items, including attention to Lifting requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in inventory management, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency with WMS software. A strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency is paramount. While this role may not involve heavy manual labor, occasional Lifting may be required. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a secure work environment.
