We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating various types of forklifts safely and efficiently within a busy warehouse environment. Your role is crucial for the movement of goods, ensuring that materials are handled properly and that workflow is maintained. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with precision and care.
- Transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse as directed.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away processes.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those related to PPE and operational Safety .
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damages immediately.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed, including some manual labor.
- Ensure the efficient flow of materials within the Logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of Safety procedures and best practices for forklift operation.
- Must wear provided PPE , including safety shoes and reflective vests.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Logistics terminology and processes is beneficial.
