Join our Los Angeles, California facility as a Material Handler! This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics network. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and moving materials and products throughout the facility. You’ll operate various equipment, manage inventory placement, and ensure materials are readily available for production or shipping. A strong focus on safety is a core requirement, and all employees must comply with established safety procedures and use required PPE at all times. This position demands physical strength, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and secure work environment. Your role ensures the integrity of our supply chain and the efficient flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipment contents against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular checks of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as directed.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a significant asset.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, with capacities up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and experience with safety procedures and PPE.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
