We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Clerk at our Detroit, Michigan facility. This position plays a vital role in supporting our warehouse operations by ensuring accurate tracking and management of all inventory. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and counting inventory items, as well as maintaining organized stock records. You will utilize our warehouse management system to update inventory levels and generate reports. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount in this role. Adherence to all company safety policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is a strict requirement. This position involves regular physical tasks, such as lifting boxes and moving materials, so a good level of physical fitness is necessary. The Inventory Clerk will work closely with the logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow and efficient order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory.
- Stock inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Maintain organized inventory records and update the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Identify and report any inventory discrepancies or damages.
- Assist with picking and packing orders as needed.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Support logistics and operations staff with inventory-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an inventory clerk or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with data entry and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
