We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our expansive warehouse in Los Angeles, California. As the first point of contact for incoming goods, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our supply chain and logistics operations. Your duties will include unloading shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering data into our system. The Receiving Clerk must be organized, meticulous, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy. Safety is paramount; therefore, adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is expected. This role involves physical activity, including lifting and moving boxes, so a good level of stamina is required. You will work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods into the facility. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve receiving-related issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
