Join our team as a Shipping Clerk in Dallas, Texas, and play a key role in our logistics department. You will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, accurately documenting all outgoing orders, and coordinating with carriers for timely pickups. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure that all shipments meet company and carrier standards. Safety is a top priority; adherence to all safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Occasional lifting of packages may be required. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Verify shipping information and addresses for accuracy.
- Generate shipping labels and required documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure packages are properly secured and labeled.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments in the system.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform occasional lifting of packages up to 30 lbs.
- Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of the overall logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to perform light to moderate lifting as needed.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
