*Job Overview*
Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT) is looking for a skilled *Structural Engineer* *PE* to join our dynamic team. As a premier engineering and design firm, we specialize in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for a wide range of projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on the analysis, design, and evaluation of various building structures.
As a Structural Engineer at EDT, you will collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software and codes.
* Develop detailed structural drawings and specifications.
* Oversight of design calculations, preparation of the construction documents, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, site reviews, and RFI responses
* Review and approve structural calculations, reports, and shop drawings.
* Coordinates information across all disciplines to ensure deliverables are compliant with client expectations and EDT Quality levels.
* Performs QA/QC in accordance with EDT procedures.
* Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design documents.
* Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations.
* Collaborate with project teams to integrate structural designs with other disciplines.
* Mentors and provides oversight to engineering team. Responsible for the learning, professional development, and growth of the assigned team, as well as training and career development.
*Skills*
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one is a plus.
* Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, SAFE, ETABS, RISA, Revit, BIM and AutoCAD, etc.)
* Strong understanding of building codes and construction standards.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
