Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Resident District Manager to oversee a comprehensive dining program that includes residential dining, retail locations, catering services, and seasonal conference operations. This position leads multiple service lines and supports both year-round and seasonal operations.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with experience in large-scale food service operations, strong financial skills, and the ability to build effective partnerships across campus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee residential dining, retail food outlets, catering operations, and seasonal hospitality programs.
- Serve as the primary contact for campus partners, ensuring alignment on goals and operational expectations.
- Lead financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and labor planning.
- Implement initiatives in sustainability, diversity and inclusion, student engagement, and local sourcing.
- Provide leadership to management teams, ensuring training, development, and consistent operational standards.
- Support hiring, coaching, and performance management for unit leaders and frontline teams.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and campus requirements.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of functional experience in food service, hospitality, or related fields.
- Experience managing large-scale budgets of at least $20 million.
- Food service leadership experience in higher education or hospitality.
- Experience overseeing multiple service lines in a complex operation.
- Experience working in unionized environments.
- Experience managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead teams in fast-paced or high-volume environments.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $121, $150,000.00 per year
