Relocation/ Housing Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Relocation Specialist to join our team. As a Relocation Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting individuals and families in finding suitable housing options during times of transition. Your role will involve providing support, guidance, and resources to help clients navigate the relocation process.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' housing needs and preferences
- Assist clients in locating available housing options that meet their requirements
- Provide guidance on the application process for rental properties, including completing necessary paperwork
- Coordinate with property management companies to ensure a smooth transition for clients
- Conduct motivational interviewing and crisis intervention techniques to address any challenges or concerns clients may have
- Educate clients on fair housing regulations and their rights as tenants
- Collaborate with addiction counseling services to provide additional support for clients with substance abuse issues
- Utilize property management software such as OneSite and Yardi to track client information and housing availability
- Stay up-to-date on LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations and assist clients in accessing affordable housing options

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in crisis management and providing support to individuals in vulnerable situations
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs and eligibility requirements
- Familiarity with fair housing regulations and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport with diverse populations and establish trust
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using property management software such as OneSite or Yardi
