Underground Helper

Norlee Company is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Underground Helper to join our team. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, offering a competitive hourly wage with excellent benefits and growth opportunity.

• Train under experienced underground and utility professionals
• Support electrical underground construction and utility crews
• Coordinate and collaborate with field professionals and back-office teams
• Travel and work away from home as needed
• Perform groundwork using trenchers, digger derricks, and bucket trucks
• Follow safety procedures, work orders, and project instructions

• High School Diploma (Associate degree in a related field preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Experience working with digger derricks, bucket trucks, trenchers, and utility groundwork
• Ability to work in a team-based environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Ability to travel long distances on short notice

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal form
• Ability to listen, follow direction, and work effectively in a team environment

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals

This role requires the ability to perform physically demanding work, including:

• Standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Walking entire job sites including stairs and elevated structures
• Frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds
• Hand and finger dexterity to operate tools and equipment
• Vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception

Work is performed primarily on active construction sites. Conditions may include:

• Extreme temperatures
• Noise, dust, mud, and debris
• Welding operations
• Trenching, shoring, and confined spaces
• Multiple job sites in one day
