Barista

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks with precision and consistency.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Manage multiple tasks including taking orders, serving customers, and handling cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food preparation and handling.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Restock supplies, manage inventory levels, and assist with food preparation as needed.
• Uphold health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation practices.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience or background in food service or the food industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Basic math skills including retail math, café math, and cash handling accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $26.48 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
