Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances according to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
• Read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting of plumbing systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, to assemble and modify plumbing components
• Conduct field service tasks such as diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and replacing faulty parts on-site
• Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing work with carpentry, HVAC systems, and other trades during remodeling or new builds
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning
• Read schematics and mechanical drawings to execute accurate installations or repairs
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted
• Support maintenance activities by inspecting existing systems for potential issues and recommending improvements
• Assist with pipe threading, assembly of piping systems, and troubleshooting complex plumbing problems
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes throughout all tasks

Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Plumber certification or license recognized by relevant authorities
• Proven experience in construction plumbing within commercial or residential settings
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices in the field
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading machines, and schematics reading
• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of HVAC systems and general building maintenance
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working at heights or in confined spaces
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and basic math calculations for precise installations
• Experience with remodeling projects or maintenance person tasks is a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for commercial driving when required
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork on construction sites
