Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our multifamily residential community. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of property management practices, and excellent customer service abilities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting with leasing, tenant relations, and property maintenance coordination to ensure a high standard of resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing lease agreements, renewals, and move-in/move-out processes while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
- Support property leasing efforts through upselling available units and maintaining accurate data entry in property management systems such as Yardi and OneSite.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to facilitate property upkeep, repairs, and facilities management
- Handle tenant inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining excellent customer relationship management.
- Prepare legal documents, contracts, and notices in accordance with landlord-tenant law and legal administrative procedures.
- Maintain organized filing systems for tenant records, lease documents, and other administrative files.
- Assist with budgeting, rent collection, and financial reporting tasks related to property operations.
- Support conflict management efforts by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the property team on marketing initiatives and leasing strategies to maximize occupancy rates.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8 programs, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law.
- Proficiency in property management software such as AppFolio
- Excellent customer service skills with effective phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Experience in real estate administrative tasks including data entry, filing, contracts management, and legal documentation preparation.
- Ability to negotiate lease terms and upsell units effectively while maintaining compliance standards.
- Familiarity with property maintenance coordination and facilities management processes.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative functions such as filing and record keeping.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and team members professionally. This position provides an engaging work environment where your administrative expertise contributes directly to the success of our multifamily community while supporting residents' needs efficiently and professionally.
Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
