Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and menu execution, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Lead Line Cook, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and support the culinary team in preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety protocols
  • Assist in menu planning and development to enhance dining options
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and safety practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize waste during meal preparation
  • Support catering events and special functions as needed

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food industry standards
  • Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
  • Experience with menu planning, catering, and fine dining service preferred
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
  • Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in food quality and safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
