About the Opportunity
The Assembly Inspector is responsible for performing first article, in-process and final inspections of PCB assemblies. The Assembly Inspector also preps and documents information related to Assembly processes.
What You'll Do
- Reviews and analyzes customer drawing(s), SOPs, work instructions and requirements specified in the traveler packet to ensure compliance with specifications; performs visual inspections of printed circuit boards and cable assemblies under IPC J standards and/or customer specifications using magnification equipment and completes an inspection checklist; scans job into PROCIM
- Verifies calibration date for any measurement device used for inspection
- Verifies assembly traveler quantity count and notifies team lead of any issues
- Performs a first article inspection (FAI) on all first time build assemblies to verify compliance with applicable IPC/Military and customer specifications; generates AS9102 report
- Identifies and documents product defects; generates NCR form and notifies team lead
- Generates and completes a Certificate of Compliance (C of C)
- Performs all other job duties as needed
What You'll Bring
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
- Ability to interpret customer drawings, requirements, SOPs, work instructions and manufacturing travelers
- Knowledge of Military, IPC J standards
- Knowledge of first article documentation and shipping standards
- Proficiency with standard Assembly equipment
- 20/20 correctable near vision in one eye
- High attention to details
- Problem solving skills
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) (Preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of Assembly inspection experience in PCB or electronics manufacturing and assembly industry (Required)
- Certified or previously certified J-STD, NASA-STD, and/or IPC-610 (Required)
Available Schedules
- Monday through Friday
- 1st shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm
- 2nd shift: 4:00pm to 12:30am
- Overtime and Saturdays as Required

California Pay Range: $20 USD - $22 USD
The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
