Meat Cutter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter & Wrapper to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation for our meat products. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, food handling, and meat cutting, with a strong commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction. Duties

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats according to specified standards and customer orders
• Wrap and package meat products securely for retail display or wholesale distribution
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Ensure proper labeling of products with accurate weights and descriptions
• Assist with inventory management by receiving deliveries and rotating stock as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when required
• Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals efficiently

Skills

• Proven experience in food production, particularly in meat cutting, food preparation, or kitchen environments
• Strong knife skills with the ability to cut precisely and safely
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures in the food industry
• Experience with packaging meats for retail or wholesale purposes
• Excellent customer service skills to assist customers effectively when needed
• Familiarity with culinary techniques related to meat preparation is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous restaurant or food industry experience is advantageous but not required
