At C&C, senior associates do not sit on the sidelines. You will collaborate directly with clients, mentor junior staff, and have real exposure to how a firm evolves technically, operationally, and strategically.
Why This Role Exists:
We are expanding our tax team to support a growing client base and to continue building a firm that blends strong technical fundamentals with modern tools and forward-thinking processes. This role is ideal for someone who is solid in tax, curious by nature, and motivated to grow into greater responsibility over time.
What You will Do:
- Prepare and review federal and state individual and business tax returns.
- Review work prepared by junior associates and provided clear, constructive feedback.
- Assist with IRS and state notices, audits, and client inquiries.
- Research and analyze tax issues, including the impact of new legislation.
- Participate in compilation and review engagements.
- Build a deep understanding of client businesses and deliver thoughtful, accurate service.
- Contribute to process improvements, including the use of automation and AI-assisted tools.
- Stay current on tax law, accounting standards, and best practices.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive public accounting experience.
- Strong foundation in U.S. tax compliance and GAAP
- Experience reviewing returns and mentoring junior staff.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software (Lacerte, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100, $130,000.00 per year
