The position is full-time, in-person in the Tarzana, CA office.
This is an exciting opportunity for a diligent and motivated Financial Analyst to join a successful and growing real estate investment firm.
Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst's role will be to evaluate potential property investments by building complex financial models, creating pro forma statements, analyzing market trends, assessing property financials and leases, and conducting due diligence to determine project viability and returns for the management team, lenders, and investors. The Analyst will prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, focusing on risk assessment, debt sizing, and strategic investment recommendations. As a trusted partner, the Financial Analyst will provide detailed analytical advice to all departments, supporting strategic decision-making and driving continued growth.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluation of commercial property and/or portfolio acquisition opportunities
- Preparation of financial models, pro forma statements, budgets, and market comps to assess potential opportunities
- Due diligence for acquisition transactions
- Due diligence for loan and refinance transactions
- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Researching industry trends, competitors and current events to provide relevant business insights
- Participate in preparation of annual budgets and reforecasting
- Support tax planning and compliance efforts
- Coordinate workflow among Management Team, Asset Management, Accounting, and Investor Relations departments
- Report directly to the CEO and act as "right-hand" to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Manage business workflow improvements such as standardizing templates, integrating AI into workflow processes, and updating the firm's social media platforms
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of Accounting or Finance experience, preferably in commercial real estate
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Outlook, Word and experience using Argus and Yardi software a plus but not required
- Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to contribute positively to a team environment
Salary & Benefits:
Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year plus bonus
