Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Business Data Analyst Intern to join our innovative Strategic Data Analytics Team

Your Shift:

• Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist in the analysis of data to support strategic decision-making
• Participate in the development and maintenance of data analytics models
• Develop value-driven data science models to solve business specific problems
• Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver accurate insights
• Help in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
• Provide guidance on the appropriate methods for applied data science and analysis techniques to support operational decisions or activities

You Must Have:

• Currently pursuing, or recently graduated with, a Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Previous internship or project experience in data analytics is a plus
• Proficiency in business-centric data analytics tools such as Excel
• Strong programming background with proficiency with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques, data structures, data modeling, and software architecture. Familiarity with big data technologies and tools
• Ability to interpret complex data and turn it into actionable insights; ability to analyze large datasets, extract insights, and communicate findings effectively
• Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing field
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $22. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
