Crew Member – Join a Fast-Paced, Energetic Team

At Barrio Burrito Bar, we're looking for dedicated Crew Members to be the heart of our kitchen and front-of-house operations. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with fresh ingredients, and love providing exceptional customer service. Whether you're preparing delicious burritos, keeping the kitchen running smoothly, or assisting customers, you'll play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding dining experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and production guidelines.
  • Assist with vegetable preparation, including washing, slicing, dicing, mixing, and mashing.
  • Prepare salsas and toppings to ensure fresh and flavorful meals.
  • Organize and stock the kitchen with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, slicers, dicers, sanitizers, and stoves.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, work areas, and food prep stations.
  • Follow strict food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
  • Greet and assist customers with orders, ensuring an enjoyable and efficient experience.
  • Collaborate with team members to keep operations running smoothly, especially during peak hours.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring inventory is properly stocked.
  • Work the register, handle cash transactions, and process payments accurately.
  • Adapt to different roles, including food prep, cashiering, and customer service as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous food service experience is a preferred but not required—we'll train the right person
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying organized and detail-oriented.
  • Basic understanding of food handling practices and kitchen safety (or a willingness to learn).
  • Basic knife-handling skills and culinary techniques preferred, but not required.
  • A positive attitude, solid dependability, and a strong work ethic.
  • A sense of urgency to meet prep schedules and service demands.
  • Reliable and punctual, available to work weekends and flexible hours as needed.
