- Hire Type: Full-Time
- Salary: $ $24.90 per hour
- Shift Premiums: +$1.50 (2nd shift) | +$3.00 (3rd shift)
- Shift Schedules:
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday | 2 PM – 11 PM
- 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday | 10 PM – 7 AM
You'll kick off your shift reviewing production targets, then set up the line for a smooth run. You'll complete changeovers with precision, dial in equipment for optimal performance, and keep a watchful eye on quality and throughput. When a minor mechanical hiccup appears, you'll troubleshoot quickly—adjusting, cleaning, lubricating, and repairing as needed—and loop in Maintenance for anything complex.
Collaboration is constant. You'll partner with the Packaging Lead and Maintenance Team to raise the bar on reliability and efficiency. You'll log downtime and corrective actions in our CMMS (EAM), track material usage and waste, and uphold OSHA, GMP, SQF, and HACCP standards at every step.
Your Core Responsibilities- Operate, set up, and change over high-speed packaging and production equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve minor mechanical issues; escalate complex problems appropriately.
- Perform inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and basic repairs; assist with preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Packaging Lead and Maintenance Team to optimize performance.
- Participate in safety programs and hazard reporting; adhere to OSHA, GMP, SQF, and HACCP.
- Record downtime, repairs, and performance data in CMMS (EAM); report throughput and waste.
- Equipment Uptime: Minimize stops and keep lines moving.
- Production Efficiency: Hit or exceed output goals.
- Safety Compliance: Meet stringent safety and food safety standards.
- Operational Reliability: Proactively address equipment issues and improvements.
- 1–2 years in manufacturing (high-speed packaging preferred).
- Comfortable with minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.
- Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with high-speed machinery and basic maintenance tools.
- CMMS (EAM) experience preferred.
- High School diploma or GED; technical certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Bonus: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
