Job Description: Project Risk Specialist
Hybrid (Remote + Onsite) | NY/NJ Local Candidates Required | 12-Month Consulting Assignment
Position Summary
· We are seeking a high-performing Project Risk professional to support enterprise-level project risk management efforts across complex capital and non-capital infrastructure programs.
· This role includes planning and facilitation of risk workshops, quantitative risk modeling (Monte Carlo), and development of executive-ready risk reports that directly inform project authorization and contingency decisions.
Work Location & Schedule
· Candidate must reside in the New York / New Jersey region.
· This is a hybrid role requiring both remote work and onsite presence at client NY/NJ office as required.
· Anticipated assignment duration: one (1) year.
· Candidate must obtain a SWAC ID and associated security clearances immediately upon hiring.

· Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel required)
Key Responsibilities
· Execute project risk assessments by identifying, documenting, and quantifying cost and schedule risks.
· Prepare for risk assessments by reviewing engineering design documentation, construction cost estimates, and project schedules.
· Support and co-facilitate risk identification workshops and document risks in the Authority's Risk Register.
· Perform Monte Carlo simulations using @Risk and Primavera Risk Analysis to quantify project risk exposure.
· Independently review and validate project scope, cost, and schedule information; support validation meetings as required.
· Develop or update Primavera P6 schedules (v21) when necessary to support schedule risk modeling.
· Draft sections of Project Risk Assessment Reports and provide electronic copies of all risk models and inputs.
· Support risk mitigation and lessons learned workshops and assist with documentation and reporting deliverables.
· Provide risk management training and stakeholder support as requested.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline; OR PMP certification with a technical degree.
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing project risk assessments.
· Hands-on experience with @Risk, Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, and Oracle Primavera P6.
· Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
· PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) certification.
· Experience supporting capital or infrastructure programs in the public sector.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Starting Rate: per hour $95
